The Wonders of Lee Kum Kee.

I get to have one of my little dream come true - that is to be able to try living alone. It was a pretty tough start but I am okay now. More so that I cook whatever I want, I am craving, whatever it is that I feel eating (healthy or not) or whatever it is that I have.
Upon my Mama's knowledge that I was eating the likes of SPAM, VIENNA SAUSAGE, and INSTANT NOODLES, she got horrified. She said "you must eat vegetables!"

I know better I guess but the only thing is, that because I have been in a rush every time, I find comfort on the fast and easy things to make - everything instant.

To please my Mama and to be healthy-wise as well, I bought vegetables at PayLess Supermarket and also I found Lee Kum Kee. I tell you, it works. It's like a magic ingredient to make something really wonderful.

Let me tell you how it worked for me.

It looks magical isn't it?

My Green and Orange delight. Baby Carrots, Green Beans and chopped Garlic.

Blanch the Baby Carrots and Green Beans in salted water until al dente and until it improves it's color. Shock them in Ice water.

With only a little amount of oil, saute the garlic and the vegetables. Add a teaspoon of Lee Kum Kee Sauce or just about any amount to your taste.

Voila - It's delicious. Try it.

*Carpe diem - Seize the day!*

And it all began, when I met Jules.

Time flies. It just goes by...

Alongside with it comes change – Good or Bad.

As the only constant thing in this world is change – I have got to agree.

Akin to feelings... they do.

As for me, I totally agree with how feelings change as time passes by. Particularly this feeling I have for this special one who is celebrating his birthday today.

My feelings have changed..... a lot.

It grew deeper, stronger and so much more.

It’s nearly 4 years as I note down this. And it’s beyond doubt astonishing how everything has surpassed time. When I look back on how it all out-shined time, man, its complicated.

I then had a shady cloud over me, one that was rather a burden to carry. I prayed to God everyday to please send me a sign; send me a bigwig to take away all the dark cloud that has been nothing but a weighty saddle.

And He sent me that special someone.... very fast! But I did not come to realize that it was him all along.

So until this very day I thank God everyday for him. I am happy all the time...

And it all began when I met Jules.

I love you always & forever.

Artista Caffe & Bistro.

When I was on my way to Metrobank (There's Metrobank in Guam!) once, Tedi and I passed by this caffe. He said that he has heard some few not-so-good comments about the place. So, we just passed by...

And so here comes another day... We stopped by...

One of the things I love most about Guam are the soft clouds that float above the sky. It is always like that everyday... Think cotton candy!

This is how it looks inside. I don't know if I have just a thing for coffee shops, but the mood and the feel of being inside there gives me a soothing feeling, more of a tranquil moment.

While waiting for the food, here's what I do - taking photographs. I just love my Betsy Johnson's Wayfarer.

A view from the window.

I just love freshly brewed Iced Tea. Can't get enough of it...

Tedi and I both had the Steak and Grilled Peppers Soup. It was okay. Not great.

This is what we had for lunch. Sesame Crusted Mahi-Mahi in Aoili, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Bokchoy and Carrots as our veggies. It was fairly good. It was a light and happy meal for me.

Here I go again with the clouds... This was in the parking space. Artista is located across First Hawaiian Bank. I love how the trees look here. Reminds me of home.

Infusion.

It was a Friday when my friend Tedi and I wanted to grab a late lunch. We were full by the breakfast we had so we ate a little past 1 in the afternoon.

Infusion is actually a Coffee and Pastry Shop. Its close to where I am residing, however it could be a long walk amidst the heat of the sun, and by the time you get there, you'd almost be sweating like a pig...

This place is so cozy. The ambiance is perfect. They have free wifi. They make their own savory and sweet crepes in front of you to see, cupcakes (which I am dying to try after Lent), cheesecakes, paninis and sandwiches.

I will blog on some more on Infusion once I get to try their sweets. Tee-hee.

I had a Turkey and Pesto Panini. It was lite and tasty.

Tedi had The Aleutia Crepe.

I miss Sonja's Cupcakes. But these doesn't look so bad. I must try them soon...

Cheesecake and Chocolate Eclairs.

This is what you would get to see once you step out of their mini balcony. A pleasurable sight always give me something to be glad about. The wonderful things in life are always free. Just open your eyes and go ahead... Direct your eyes to the beautiful wonders God made. It could be the view of landscapes, a flowery garden, a deep blue ocean, the sun (from sunrise to sunset)or perhaps the lovely moon and twinkling stars that sparkles beyond the sky.

My Breakfast Morning.

My yellow morning.

I made pancakes. It doesn't look so enticing but it was good with a little butter and my Smuckers Strawberry Syrup. Yum! I might just eat it again tomorrow.

Pancakes, Coffee and Orange Juice works for me all the time.

And how lovely can it be when you're eating breakfast in front of someone who's never near but not that oh-so-far... Thank God for Skype.

Good Morning everyone!

THANN.

I went to the mall (there are only 3 malls in Guam to date), and I gladly came across this store that had a very pleasant smell that my body has sort of commanded my brain to go inside and not just pass by, and so I did.

The sales lady is a real-talker. She blew me away with all her free treatments and trials she managed to perform on me. And I liked it, I really did that I bought a trial set. I've never tried Organic Products on my face so this is my first and it better be great or else...

THANN is a range of natural hair and skincare products formulated from botanicals, derived by combining the art of natural therapy with the modern dermatological science. It is made in Thailand.

Bold
I bought these trial set. An Oatmeal Facial Scrub, a Toner made from Jasmine, and a Rice Extract Moisturizer. I am just finishing off my moisturizer and after which I will be purchasing their Rice Extract Moisturizer and their Shiso Collection of facial and body products. I can't wait!

Visit their website at http://www.thann.info

It's not available in the Philippines though...

Another day.

It has been my second day off to date and my day was very well spent. Let me tell you why...

I watched the movie Valentine's day with my friend Tedi. It was a very nice movie. It's all about LOVE. You must watch it.

Perfectly Brewed Iced Tea always works for me. This is one of the drinks I missed when I was back home. Here in Guam, they brew their own tea, most of the restaurants use Oolong Tea from China. They make a syrup which is 1 part sugar and 1 part water and they bring it to a boil after which they allow it to completely cool off. This is what they use as sweetener for the Iced Teas they serve. It's refreshing with a slice of Lemon as well.

I went to Sheraton Hotel with my friend Tedi. My friends initially discovered that there is a STARBUCKS outlet in Guam. Thank goodness for that! Well, there are few decent coffee shops here but nothing beats Starbucks for me and for most people I know.

Our server. His name is LOVEJOY. How often do you hear or even encounter a person by a name like his'? I was blown away. His parents must have been so in love.

I had Caramel Frappucino. It was good! Tedi got Caramel Macchiato. He said it was good as well. I am sure we will be returning there anytime soon. They don't have much choices but it's alright at least we've got Starbucks on Island.

And so I went home and fixed myself a little dinner. I had everything, it was just a matter of putting everything together. I had CHEESEBURGER. It was a happy meal. And speaking of that, I will be posting more of the happy meals I created at my tiny kitchen soon.
