Teach them kindness.

There was one particular day that I decided to whip up some snacks for the front liners who are working hard at the back of the house (figuratively speaking). Just because they are situated in laboratories that doesn't mean that they don't risk their lives everyday as they come to work.
I really don't take photos of what I do just because I don't want to seem like a show off of some sort.
But this one day, when Julia decided to help me with the corned beef and egg sandwiches, I was entirely drawn to her message. I grabbed my phone and took a photo of the last batch she was making so I can properly document it.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

I teach my kids kindness amongst others but I do not dictate what they must do everyday.
I told Julia to write To OSPA Medtech's, From Julia, Isabel and Clara like I always do when I send them snacks.
Her note this time was not so short.
She made this little notes too that really swept me off my feet.
She tells them to be kind as well.
I smile and laugh at the thought of it.
I tell them to be gentle and kind always, and here she is spreading kindness in her own little way.

What warms your heart?

We went out for a few hours to have dinner with family. When I opened the door and lights to our bedroom, I was simply smitten with the little piece of paper that our daughter, Julia, left for us.
It softened my heart and I got so teary eyed.
She is almost 7 years old and she is smart and beautiful.
At times, I fear what tomorrow brings, when there are questions I can no longer answer, unkind gestures that I cannot shield away from and perhaps the tiny heartbreaks she must endure day to day.
I can only hope and pray for the best and see her through. In her tiny world of make believe, I still am her greatest idol to date, and everyday is a reminder to enjoy her and her not-so-little sisters, to make memories while we can and to laugh out loud or sleep away our worries and fears because there is a higher being who makes us fear not.

With a little sigh on my heart, I call it a night.
Time to put away the woes of the day to make our bedtime just right.
As I bid my girls goodnight, I blow each one a gentle kiss that always warms the heart.

Gratitude is the memory of the heart.

This year has been filled with so much to be thankful for.
Our blessings are countless and God has been and is always so good to us. Each day is different from the other and for that I am always grateful.
Each of us is sent from above to have a purpose in this lifetime. We find meaning in the lives we have been bestowed with.
I never thought that I would be chosen to become your Mama. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that you would become my first born - my first darling.
I am so lucky to have you.
You taught me so much in life.
You made me a strong woman and my life has changed wholeheartedly ever since you were born.
I owe my life’s biggest accomplishment to you - that is, becoming a mother.
Thank you for the love that you continuously shower me and Daddy with.
Thank you for extending your patience when mine is nearly ending.
Thank you for always helping me with your sisters even at the wee morning hours.
Thank you for your humor and your sweetness that light me and everyone up always.

As dwarfism awareness month comes to an end, I knock on your big hearts and kind souls to always be gentle and spread kindness from within. You may not know what kind of battle each person you meet has been struggling with. Kindness generates grateful hearts. Together we can make this world a much better place for you, for me and for people who’s small but then that’s just all.

My Julia.

Just before Dwarfism Awareness month comes to an end, I'd like to say how proud I am to become a Mama of this almost 4-year old ray of sunshine who has taught me so much in life. I've become the mother that I am now because of you and the battles we've fought together. I love you so much, with all my heart. ❤️
Thank you, Leslie @dreambiglittleones for reminding me about how the word 'little' should just be a word and never a noun. 😊
So, from this day on, no more littlejulia  hashtags, rather, beautifuljulia will shine through. 🌼🌼🌼 #simplepleasures #dwarfismawarenessmonth #dwarfismawareness #beautifuljulia
