Of flowers and sentiments.

I come rushing to our bedroom full of flowers, just a day after Valentine’s Day to pick up my glasses. I stop momentarily to enjoy how wonderful it smells.

I always manage to unscramble the pretty tied bouquets to fill those vases – big and small with all the flowers the gentlemen brings.

I wish it were Valentine’s Day everyday…

A lady is eternally smiling from ear to ear with the sight of any piece of Valentine present from her partner.
There’s a certain scent that a flower brings. It smells like a little piece of heaven. It calms the soul and certainly is a feast for the eyes. It crafts a sentiment too, that only the body can muster. Oh how lovely it is to have flowers everyday!

I also got artworks from my girls.
They are so thoughtful and sweet. And I hope and pray that they would never tire in doing so. Just because.

I pray that they would grow up like me, fond of simple pleasures and the like. I wish they would master the art of drying flowers too.

It catches me in a corny mood thinking how many bouquets they will have to untangle to fill their vases, just like mine. The happiness they will feel when one finally gets her first bunch.

Will there hands turn ice-cold like mine? Or will they wary away and hide all the pretty blooms like I did?
Oh… I am getting way too sentimental here.

Random snippets at the farm.

The husband, the daughter and myself together with close friends and family went to a spontaneous farm visit in our Lolo's Ranch. We had lunch there and they brought some booze along too. It was a lovely day.

Stepping stones.
Pink wild roses.
Remnants of what used to be fields of Lerio flower. This is what's left. So sad but still pretty.
So in love with this tree. Standing tall and proud.

Bunch of colors.

I don't like how this painting turned out to be. It's colorful and lively but I think I just made a mess out of it....
I will make a new one soon.
Fridays are supposed to be exciting and fun, in commemoration of the weekend - but because I wasn't happy of this art, I feel so blue.
Better days will come...

Hydrangea.

I find myself always looking on to this beautiful flower that sits on my coffee table every morning when I wake up. It soothes and calms my mind. It takes me somewhere peaceful. I wish it won't wilt nor dry up but it doesn't happen that way.

This is one of my favorite flower. My Lola Rita would call it Millions and I grew up thinking that this flower's name is actually Millions but it is not. She used to have a very beautiful garden filled with Lerio and Hydrangea.

There's something about having fresh flowers inside your bedroom. It doesn't just make your room look pretty but it also creates a warm and cozy place for you to sleep and relax.

Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.

Crazy Monday.

I was horrified by some news I received last night as I return home from the whole day-garage sale that I was tending to. It is harder than it is. Living in a cozy home filled with lots of negative energy is extremely hard. I can just rant all I want even into the wee hours of the morning but still - everything remains the same, not changing, not even for a little bit. It is crazy and somehow I have learned to live with this. Me and my little sister Marki has so much positive energy with us in our bedroom as we chat and get caught up in laughter and fun but it ends the moment we step out in our colorful rooms and then anguish embraces us, well to me maybe.

I am ranting. I know.

So I prayed to God this morning as I am hopeless. Let there be peace in our home. And I read a few lines in the Bible and then I felt a bit fine. At least.

And so I am sharing with whoever reads my blog - my resting place (the only) and hoping you will like the photographs of my Monday.

How meek and gentle this little flower is? I wish our home was as gentle as this.

The dragonfly whom I never saw fly.

The beauty of the sunset always makes my heart smile. It never fails to do so...

I wish I can tell you that my day ends like the sunset - smooth and longing. But it didn't.
Oh well, I don't want to rant anymore.

Lilies.

Oh how I love flowers... I love lilies as well. It is such an eye-catching object. It charms me. It fills me with pleasure.

I saw these lilies at a Thai Restaurant along Tumon Bay. Their food is fantastic. I will blog on that once I get to take bits and bobs of the place.

But for now, check out their lovely lilies...

Flowers.

Early Morning Dew.
Baby Antorium.

I was out in my Father's house one early Sunday morning looking for anything new in his garden, I always love to do this most especially in his home when there is always something new to watch out for. I was out at the back when I caught a glimpse of the colors that well, attracted me to go near it. I remembered my grandmother who had so much love for orchids and flowers. I miss her everyday and when I saw the colorful blooms, I missed her even more. My father came up to me and told me that these plants never tire. They are flowering every now and then. At the back of my mind, maybe my grandmother is watching over these lovely plants. Thank goodness I had my camera with me so I started taking pictures.
