Pray. Hope. Don't worry.

It’s unerringly 3:53 AM and I am wide awake, up and about…

As I write this entry, my television is as stirring as I am. I am momentarily looking at TLC and this girl just climbed Mount Sinai on time to witness the first light of the day and from the looks of it, it is just breathtaking. Makes me marvel when could I ever do that? Climb a mountain and watch patiently as the sun rises little by little and beautifully, now on to that thought, perhaps I will make that happen someday.

Oh well, it’s exactly less than a month more to go for the big day. I know I’ve got most of the things covered but there’s just this feeling of uncertainty if I have ever missed out on anything else. I am terrified of such big parties. I don’t know how to handle such a big crowd where I and my groom-to- be are the stars of the night. It’s bloodcurdling. But I know, like everything else, this will pass and I will look back with a grin on my face laughing on what I was terrified about.

I am all packed up for parties here and there next month and I hope it will grant me a comforting feeling. It’s hard to just sit and lighten up nowadays where I find time so short and precious. I feel like every minute of my day counts. I am so proud to put together all my giveaways and that I must say is a labor of love. All my wedding preparations are so full of love, from the people helping me put it all together. It’s basically putting all of my time and endless effort in to it.

I am just hoping and praying that everything will fall into place. That there’d be peace on that day, most especially amongst my family, why can’t there be harmony among them? Oh Lord, grant me and us the serenity on that day and the days to come. I am praying too for a bright and sunny weather in the same way that I am praying for our marriage to be blissful.

There’s just so much going on my mind right now. I feel like a mixed drink of some sort. I must taste awful at the moment. But I know everything will be better as there are always better days.

Earlier today, I joined a mass in honor of Saint Pio who is celebrating his feast day today. I had dinner with my future in-laws and then I learned through various testimonies the very words of Saint Pio that touched me and gave me a reason not to sweat on the small stuff anymore and it goes like this…

Pray. Hope. Don’t worry.

And how all those 4 words – short and precise mean so much and made me believe just to have faith in myself, my planners, my suppliers and everyone else who is working hard for my wedding to take place. Faith in my prayers and knowing t hat God will hear me and lifting all my worries to Him.

It doesn’t just coincide with what I feel at the moment but it does connote a meaning to our everyday lives. We must always be prayerful and hopeful as there are bright tomorrows. We can only look back to what our yesterdays has taught us and eventually realizing that it made us strong. And lastly, we must not worry. Aside from getting fine lines in our face and hastening the production of cancer cells because of our anxiety, there’s just no good to it, no end to it as well.

My fish Quince is playfully looking at me now in a happy-feel-good of a way. Makes me wonder, do they ever sleep? Quince is right on my bedside table and I look at him first thing in the morning. Damon on the other hand is on my coffee table and he seems resting comfortably at the moment.

It’s 4:08 AM and I must tuck myself into bed as the cold September breeze is making me yawn. This time of the morning is my favorite. When the roosters make their distinct jingle and the breeze is just oh-so-cold. I will say my prayers, hope for a great day and try not to worry so much.

Lovely Air Supply.

Today I am putting lovely little things together. Still don't know which design to proceed with but I am hoping to complete this project in no time.

Time flies super fast nowadays. I am getting the crazy nerves by the minute.

Praying that everything will fall into its right place.

"Time is gold."

Classic Piece.

I am crazy with these dainty-looking Tops from Zara and H & M.

I recently bought a Satin Fabric and one day will transform it into something like this.

It's a classic piece that never goes out of style and grace.

That's all for today.
Busy week ahead of me.

All in the thoughts of Pink.

My wedding is just around the corner, 2 more months to be exact. One thing I am very much excited about is that my cousin Tina and I are planning to put up a little Sweets' Corner with almost everything in shades of pink and blue as these two colors are our motif.

I wanted to serve this Pink Lemonade during cocktails but we have decided not to pursue cocktail hour anymore. There's just too much going on already.

I have always been fascinated with everything in Pink. I used to have my bedroom wall painted with pink and had my curtains come in pink as well. My cousins would oftentimes call me gay in our native language because of how I carry the color pink all the time.

As we speak, I have my Pink Moleskine and Pink Pen beside me waiting for it to be touched in a jiffy.

Today is one of my free day. I finished my baking chores yesterday. There's so much to do and I don't know where to start. Perhaps I will start scribbling on my notes now - on my Pink Moleskine. :)

Heaven at Calea.

I dream of someday owning a place as beautiful as Calea. It is a sweet tooth’s delight to visit this wonderful realm of cakes and pastries. I love how the owner has put into reality his or her touches and all the modest niceties that contain the place. Sometimes, I think it has me written all over it. It is just so nice. I could stay there forever.

I love the Cornflower colored door. It looks like the entrance to an old castle. It also has a shabby finish which I totally dig in.

The sight of this mouth-watering cake display leaves me in total awe and I only have high-praises for the owner whoever he or she is.

And perhaps my favorite thing in the whole cafe is this white-bricked wall and a yellow lamp fixture on it. It looks so chic and shabby all together. Oh how I love it. I wish I could take one home.

A part of the wall is adorned with this white framed beauties. I love it to the nth level.

I also love the extra size lamps that hangs above each window side table. It looks so warm and romantic at night.

White Chocolate Cheesecake. This was recommended to me by cousin Franco. I love it. The flavor is full and creamy.

The Imported Chocolate Cake is a must-try. It is decadent and rich. The caramel filling is just so good.

Tiramisu. Always a classic accompaniment to my Cappuccino. It is light and tasty.

As I write this entry, I already am proud for my 4 types of Cheesecakes. One day, I will have 10 kinds. Someday...

Calea is located in Bacolod City in these following branches:

Calea Branches:

  • Calea Lacson Street (beside L’Fisher Hotel) – main branch
  • Calea Robinsons Place Bacolod
  • Calea East Block

Old things and many.

For some reason, I've always been a fan of old things. Not just any ordinary stuff but the ones that are really lovely and one that has a story behind it, it makes everything old and unique all together.

Growing up, I would see my mother bring home old jars or any intricate antique piece from her friend's house or some bought from local vendors. I would look at it and for some reason always appreciating how lovely those things were. Thinking, maybe my love for vintage teapots would all go beyond those influences of always seeing antiques from my mother, her sisters and even my grandmother.

I am getting married in less than 2 months now and hopefully in God's perfect time would be getting a house to call our own. I don't know if I will fill my house with lots of this old and lovely things. Maybe I will, maybe I won't.

On a recent trip to the City of Smiles - Bacolod City, I was indeed lucky to go and visit some beautiful homes with old things dating to early 1900's. I cannot imagine how precious the things that still remain in their houses after all these years. The heirs of the respective families must be so proud.

This is the staircase of the Gaston House in Silay. It leads to further 2 more staircases which is designed one for the females and one for the male. I love the shade of blue on the walls, it makes the place more vintage.

Oh how I love to see curtains tied on the side of walls or doors. It is simply pretty.

I love how they placed all this things together. The mirror looks so regal and classic.

Found this very old typewriter at the Museum.

Very old and pretty coffee tins. I wonder where these came from. From the looks of it, I could trace it back to any European country. I wonder if it was good coffee?

And old Telephone. They say, it still works up to now. I remember having a vintage telephone in our old house before. I will try to look for it and maybe do another post all about it.

This was taken at the Museum as well. Oh how I love the setting of this room. It reminds me of the home of one blogger that I constantly follow.

An old Tea Set. Not my type. But it looks very well kept and preserved.

I love how they put all the old frames together in this little piano. The doily looks so clean and fresh.

This particular room was a Library. I am amazed how much books the owner has. He or she must be an avid reader. O

House of Teapots.

For someone like myself who is specifically fond of teapots will be in total bliss when visiting this House of Collection somewhere in Xavierville, Quezon City in the Philippines.

I met this lady in a dinner party and as soon as she knew I was into collecting teapots, she dragged me a couple of blocks to visit her house.

This lady particularly collected NOVELTY Teapots. I have never heard that such exist not until I saw it for myself. I personally collect Antique and Vintage Teapots as I find it very dainty and worthwhile collecting.

She has a total of 141 Teapots to be exact housed in a very huge Glass Cabinet specifically made for her collection. She has all sorts of Disney Characters, Presidents of the US, all the good things to be exact. She buys them from her trips abroad and from thrift shops elsewhere. And mind you, her teapots aren't cheap at all, they even have brands as I recall her story, she must be an avid shopper.

Here are some snippets of her Teapot Collection. I felt so tiny as my collection is only 5 teapots, but I have lovely ones, I proudly say. :)

I love how she managed to adorn her Glass Cabinet with a Giant Teapot.

Betty Boop and her charming glory on a shape of a Teapot.

This corner was my favorite. I love the flowery things.

She mentioned that this particular teapot was pricey and branded. Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

How lovely this kitchen replica of a teapot is? It is amazing how someone finds this. I have never ever seen a Novelty Teapot.

Dainty things are my favorite.

US Presidents and famous people. Novelty, indeed.
