What's up?

It's been a while. I know. I have been out for the longest time already. I have lots of news and to begin with I just got ENGAGED! I will elaborate details about that soon.

I am in a state of calamity. It is super cold and I am devastated. Okay, I am currently in Los Angeles right now. I got here 2 nights ago. This was never a part of my plan. I knew of this 2 weeks ago. Awesome right? But the weather isn't at all... I miss the sun.

The two days has been great so far. I went to 2 stores that I don't normally visit in the Philippines because of its expensive prices (I always shop for less, and when I mean less, it is really less). I went to Zara and H&M and got a whole lot of discounted items. To name a few I got 4 Jeans at $9.99 each. Heaven it is. I particularly picked a Jumpsuit that was priced at $9.99 as well and it it so fierce it reminds me of Serena Van der Woodsen of Gossip Girl. I can't wait to wear it though I am confused where to...

We ate at this Mexican Restaurant called Pink Tacos. I ordered the Lobster Dulce Enchiladas, oh wow, it was so good. They're taking us to another restaurant soon called Rocksugar and I am thrilled.

Tomorrow, we are going hiking and of course take snaps of the famous Hollywood Sign. And for lunch we plan to grab a bite at In and Out Burger, they say it is the best. We will have to see.

And tomorrow I shall meet up with my cousin Ryan.

I am giddy for the days to come but I am wishing and praying for this weather to be sunny already.

Calories lately.

Calories. Must be everybody’s most wanted past time. It has been raining these past few days and I must say, I am not a fan of it entirely. It makes me sick.

But because of the heavy downpour, I was practically home bound all the time. I did complete some few things like - I finally finished my Europe Trip Scrapbook, I finally had printed pictures for the frames that I bought many moons ago, I am almost complete with my lovely things that I am putting together for my Guam friends and more importantly I replaced my poor printer with new ink set.

And because of that rain, I am being called by my favorite spot – the kitchen and there I was experimenting again and again. And I will continue to venture in this experimentation of some sort... Calories indeed!

My Chocolate Cake. It is covered with Dark Chocolate Ganache and some sugar coated pearl ornament. My boyfriend said it was good but needs to be more moist. I will experiment some more for that. My friend Sherry tells me to try adding sour cream. We'll see what happens.

My Polvoron. It tends to break easily but it is already good as it is. I should have put some more butter to keep it hard. Soon, soon, soon...

Gone too Soon.

His last breath was probably on Christmas Eve's morning. I got a text message from my cousin late afternoon informing me that Kane has passed away. My heart is broken.

He was suffering from a disease called EIA Equine Immune Anemia. It is a contagious disease that would eventually lead to a horse's death sooner or later. It is fatal. There is no cure. The best possible way is mercy killing so as not to prolong the agony of the horse.

I submitted myself to the most humane way of euthanasia and God knows what it was, I was never there when it happened. It is quite unfair that Kane had to die while some cousin of mine has probably 2 or more horses alive positive for EIA. Their horses has to be put down too. I sacrificed mine for the benefit of others.

My December Story

This is the totality of my December Story...

Our lovely Christmas Tree at home. You have no idea how it came up to be like this and how many days my Mama declared it finally done.

My boyfriend Julio and I at New Year's day lunch at my Tita Teling's cozy home.

My family. My sister Ina is missing as she is working on duty at a hospital in Cebu.

Probably the only firecracker I will ever hold.

Full moon at its brightest one cold December night.

Fireworks lit up the sky.

I relaxed at Crimson Resort and Spa for a night. I was in awe with the place.

I finally made my Red Velvet Cupcakes which my cousins and nieces loved. I am mighty proud of this accomplishment.

Can't get enough of Jasmine Tea.

Holidays are gone.

So, how did your Holidays go? Mine practically seemed to pass me by so quickly I couldn't even embrace it for too long. I had a glimpse of it somehow so its all fine.
I was really busy with my homemade goodies to sell. I had fun doing it but it boils down to being so dead tired in a days time.
I officially made more than 2,000 cookies by HAND. yes, take note by hand. It may seem awful or stressful but mind you, I enjoyed every living moment of it, with good music to accompany me by, everything went well.
I somehow made every little thing that I planned for happen. Well, not really all of them...
And now, I enjoy sipping my Jasmine Tea surrounded by my 2 nephews Joaquin and Martin and my youngest cousin Zoilo who celebrates his 2nd birthday tomorrow. I can say that pretty much I am bored but I shall make time for whatever mischievous things that I am looking forward to explore day by day.
For instance, I plan to make my little veranda transformed to a sweet garden. It will be my resting place. I plan to plant all sorts of flowers and anything nice to beautify my space. I am excited for them to grow. Oh God, please let them grow...
I am also looking forward to finish my scrapbook. The one that I made in honor of my Europe escapade, I will finish them soon.
My cross stitch patterns has been resting in the closet for months now, I have yet to bring them to life one of these days.
I am looking forward for my friend Joana's wedding sometime next month. I am thrilled to be in Manila once again.
One day at a time I shall conquer all of these things that flashes randomly in my head.
For now, I would rather enjoy my Tea and watch how these kids ransack our house with mud in their little boots.
I think its all because of the rain... The sun hasn't shine on us for dayssss already. It annoys me. I hope the sun will shine tomorrow.

Not feeling Christmasy.

It is one of my favorite time of the week - Sunday morning. Nothing great today. Blunt as ever.

Holidays are coming up so fast; so fast that I have not even noticed it coming.

Spirit of Christmas - where are you? Please come to me and embrace me with peace and happiness. Come to me fast for I am not feeling you at all.

I have been spending my time in the kitchen, needless to say my favorite place in the world, but I am tired and weary. I need a break.

And again, Spirit of Christmas, come to me.... Fast.
