My darling turns 5 months old.

Dearest Julia,

As you turn 5 months old today, let me share you some little thoughts of you...

You made Mama really really sad these past few days. Was there something I've done? Was there something I've tactlessly said? Is my milk supply not enough for you baby?

Oh Julia! Please don't feel bad when Mama is away for a few hours. Like I always tell you, Mama is in the kitchen - baking. You must know that the kitchen is Mama's happy place darling. And you must know too that you and Daddy are my ultimate happiness. So please don't feel bad anymore. You are always in my thoughts baby. You are even in my dreams. And someday, we will both dream together. Dreams do come true my love.

Mama has decided to lay low on baking because Mama doesn't want you to feel bad anymore. Someday, you will join me in the kitchen, and I know it will be wonderful and messy all at once! I can't wait for that day to come, Julia.

As you turn 5 months old, you have mastered the skill of making whatever acts. Say, throwing tantrums at Mama. Well not that heavy though, but you sure know how to tackle one. You scream your heart out in a loud cry and at times you get all giddy and ecstatic when greeted warmly. Oh how you generously enjoy splashing your saliva as you get all excited! Baby, you are now a big girl!

Mama is so proud of you because at this early you can now eat. You first had Chicken Soup Mamita prepared for you and the day after you had dry cereal. Everyday is changing as you have a love and hate relationship with feeding. But it's all okay, love. Still, I will always be proud of my precious one.

I find it so funny that everyday you are slowly mimicking your Daddy's features. You are after all his mini-me. Oh how you both look alike!

Julia, I love you to the moon and back.

Cuddle time with Daddy.

Julia eats dry cereal.

Today.

Flowers for our little one. :)

To my dearest Julia on your 4th month.

 Dearest Julia,

Now that you have just turned 4 months old, people will start wondering, they might actually stare at you and some may whisper into each other’s ear on how and why peculiarly tiny you are.

Baby, let’s just let them be.

They are most probably mesmerized by your gorgeousness, your lovely nose, your lips so red and beautiful, your eyes so full and sparkling-bright, your now-flawless skin and your adorable smile and your wit – as sharp as it can be.  That alone can make them glower at you for hours.

Mama is so proud of you. By now, you can securely hold your water bottle in place. You open your mouth so wide when you see the medicine dropper coming your way with your yummy vitamins. And when Mama tells you that we ought to clean your tongue, you graciously open your mouth wide for me. Oh how wonderful you are!

You can now reach anything that is placed before you; you carefully get them with your strong hands, scrutinizing it gently and then placing it candidly to your mouth. Oh how you love licking and sucking your fingers all together that they make a funny slurping sound! Your grip is so firm and comforting that it makes my heart giggle every time you clench my finger upon feeding. You love to kick upon bathing that it makes me laugh so hard. You love the water baby, I can see that now.

You also have discovered shouting. You love to screech my dear, which makes us all laugh.

You are so attentive when I read to you the books we have. I know in my heart that you will be so brilliant baby.

You don’t want your socks or your blanket at nighttime. Oh how you embrace the cold!

Mamita has taught you little tricks like letting your tongue out and you have very well mastered that already. She later taught you how to play with your saliva and you perfectly obliged as well, though at times, you choke a little – in the cutest way there is.

As I always say, that you should smile to everyone that greets you and comes your way – you never disappoint. You brighten up each person’s morning whenever you flash your lovely and toothless grin, baby. You make people happy. You are a joyful baby my love. The first thing you do when you wake up in the morning or even from a short nap is smile at me and to anyone in the room. You make me so proud, sweetheart!

At 4 months, you are the sweetest thing there is!

You will always hear people saying how small you are now; please do not be offended by them.

Dr. Seuss once said that a person is a person no matter how small.

You may be small but your voice is like that of Goliath’s.

You may be small but you are the biggest blessing to Daddy and Mama’s life. Because of you, our lives got better.

You may be small, but we will dream big together.

We will conquer the world in the cutest way possible.

You and me – hand in hand, fingers clasping together - We will always be.

We love you, Julia!

Julia's first -holding the water bottle.

I am a proud Mama. Last Saturday, March 23, 2013, my little one held her water bottle with her tiny hands for the first time after taking her vitamins. Now, she does this everyday already. I am so proud of my cutie patootie!

All we need is time Darling! :)

Julia turns 3 months old.

It’s been 3 months and it is surreal how time flies. To me, it was more of like, days ago that I first held you in my trembling arms for you are so precious and delicate, today, you have gained a little and grown a little. Oh my darling little girl, Mama is bursting with gladness because of your gentle presence.

Right now, all you do is flash your toothless and comical grin at us. You smile straightaway at me as I talk to you and boy that always soften my heart; it suddenly feels like I’ve won the grand prize of some sort.

You chatter all the time especially when you are wide awake and whenever you are eavesdropping at us. Every little ooh and ahh; and even the bird-like voice you offer makes Mama overjoyed. I know how badly you want to talk most remarkably when your beautiful lips are all curled up pointing to whatever position it makes. Oh Julia, you will eventually talk; it will take time.

Oh how Mama gets petrified bathing you particularly when you want to stand up on your own. Believe me my angel - that time will come too. Let us just be patient.

Your naughty look and how it makes all of us giggle – even at 3 months you know how to be naughty already.

And when Mama is around, you can surely tell it is I. Is it my scent or my voice that makes you fidgety at once? Or are you just making “parayg” to me?

Oh your crowning glory and how everybody is gabbing about it, love. You just have plenty of hair. And when I say plenty, I mean PLENTY. I am glad that you don’t take your headband off, it appears that you like it as well.

Your doll eyes – so full and bright, they sparkle all the time. They smile before you do which brings me in complete awe of your beauty.

You are beautiful no matter what.

I came across a video and I know in time, I really want you to see it too.

There is nothing greater in this world than LOVE my dear. You will understand all of these when you grow little by little… People will try to judge you in the future, just let them be. Just be happy and grateful for the life you have. And always remember that because of that LOVE, you are here.

Just like the song, you are beautiful just the way you are – always remember that sweetheart!

On her second month.

My baby turns 2 months old today and I am the proudest Mama of all.

My favorite photograph of her on her 2nd month.
Our darling Julia smiles all throughout the day and night and giggles at times as well. She is a darling!

Look how she stares at Mama. Just love.
I thank the Lord and Mama Mary for the bundle of joy she is to all of us. I have never felt so wanted and needed all together by someone. She follows my voice and stares at me wherever I go. I love you baby love. You have brought joy to my life like no other. You are God's greatest blessing to Daddy and I. We cannot wait to play with you when you get bigger and Daddy cannot wait to take you to the farm and make you wear the boots Ninang Iana gave you.

We love you beautiful girl!

A month old.

Hello world!

I can't believe that now, I am a mother. As I write this, I am staring at my little girl, sound asleep in my arms, completely mesmerized by her beauty and all the lovely gestures she makes. I can stare at her all the day and night, not getting tired nor exhausted. Somehow, all the pain and doubts of the past are gone because of her presence. She is truly a bundle of joy and I won't stop thanking God for her. She made my life better in just a span of a month. She will make my days brighter and more meaningful.

Bonding with her everyday is just beautiful. Her smiles are heavenly soothing. I tell her stories and she makes this tiny oohs and ahhs as though affirming my every word. Her cheeks are so red, I call her our little tomato. Oh Julia! Mama cannot wait for you to become bigger. We will conquer the world together and I know in a gentle and loving way, you will shake the world.
