Sherry's Strawberry Cheesecake.

Sherry's Strawberry Cheesecake.

My co-intern from Guam and turned out to be one of my closest friends now, Sherry, has made me a perfect indulgence to welcome back my Sweet Tooth. As you all know, I remained sweet less (abstained) for 40 days for the whole period of Lent. It was sort of my way to sacrifice, and plead to God to answer my prayers. And oh, for the record, he did answer some. :)

Sherry was so thoughtful and kind enough to bake for me her Strawberry Cheesecake.
And so, I called my beautiful cousins to gather one afternoon and be with me as I indulge in to this heavenly dish.

My cousins and I agreed and came in to our conclusion that Sherry's Strawberry Cheesecake was a total hit amongst us. It was perfect. She wasn't stingy at all with Strawberries. It was sweet and tangy and creamy. :)

Thank you Girl!

Cobalt Blue Teapot.

An early birthday present from my soon-to-be Mother-in-law. :)

I need not say anything because the photograph alone gives it Justice already. And no words can describe how amazing this Vintage Find is ever. All I ever know is that she got this from Greenhills Antique Shop. Enough said...

My Teapot Collection grows and grows... It can surely be done.

Nostalgia and a Teapot from Vienna.

My good, old friend Ethel came to the Philippines all the way from Vienna, Austria for a short visit. She made it and found a little time to see me while I was busy fabric shopping in Manila for my wedding.

I met Ethel during my 4th year as a Student in Cebu. She was crazy. We had all the fun in the world. She has been a really good friend.

Ethel and I.

I am so proud of what she has become now. She is a strong woman. She is still skinny as a stick and funny as she has always been. She was very generous and thoughtful that she gave me so many things. She has given me my "Something Blue". And above all, she gave me a Vintage Teapot that I really really love.

It reminds me of how My Lola Blanquita would drink her coffee when she was still residing in the old house and I would spend Saturday Mornings there. Her tea cups resembled much like this.

Pretty as it can be.

A Beautiful Home.

During my recent trip to Manila, my godmother Tita Jackie, invited my Mama, my Mother-in-law to be and myself to a lovely dinner in her very beautiful home, not to mention the sumptuous meal she had prepared for us, she has been a good cook according to Mama. My Mama loves her Potato Moussaka dearly that she had her made it for dinner.

I met two of her lovely friends too, one of whom gave me a Novelty Teapot, another one for my collection. I will do another post about her House of Collection which is amazing in so many ways soon.

Tita Jackie is such a gracious host. Her home was filled with so much spirit and positive energy. Her house smells like Citronella but that wasn't the scent she used. Her bamboo trees that surround her entire house makes you feel you are heavily guarded and calm. Her water features around the garden gives you a soothing feeling, you can just melt away...

Her collection of Burmese Dancers, Brushes, Paintings are so wonderful to look at, makes you want to collect them too. She got all of her precious items from her trips to Beijing and Hongkong. They look so nice, I tell you. I just love her home.

My favorite painting inside her lovely abode.

This corner houses her telephone booth. So warm and cozy.

It was indeed yummy!

Forget me not's Dulce de Leche Cheesecake. I have to admit I wanted to eat more, but I am controlling myself.

The smartest dog I have ever seen in my entire Life. His name is Spike. He sits at the dinner table like all of us did steadily and he waited until he was given a bite.

Tita Julie was also amazed by this doggie's talent.

The Brush Collection and counting...

Her coffee table all lit up.

Treasure Chest. Oh how I love these too.

The Citronella-like smell comes from this burner.

I wanna go back and eat that Cheesecake.

Thank you Tita Jackie for being a great host.

Hydrangea.

I find myself always looking on to this beautiful flower that sits on my coffee table every morning when I wake up. It soothes and calms my mind. It takes me somewhere peaceful. I wish it won't wilt nor dry up but it doesn't happen that way.

This is one of my favorite flower. My Lola Rita would call it Millions and I grew up thinking that this flower's name is actually Millions but it is not. She used to have a very beautiful garden filled with Lerio and Hydrangea.

There's something about having fresh flowers inside your bedroom. It doesn't just make your room look pretty but it also creates a warm and cozy place for you to sleep and relax.

Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.

Yuso and Donna ties the knot.

My cousin, Yuso finally tied the knot to his girlfriend of 5 years, Donna. Their wedding was so much fun and simple as close family and friends bonded the night away.

I wish my wedding could be more like theirs. Wishful thinking...

My favorite part of the night was the best man's speech. The best man was our cousin, Kino, who was exactly precise and straight to the point with his choice of words.

All he ever said was...

To exciting tomorrow's and unforgettable yesterdays....

The Bride was so beautiful and the Groom was splendidly handsome. Cheers to the both of you!
